2 Yoga Poses to Improve Your Libido

A sedentary lifestyle full of stress and health problems affects your libido and reduces your sexual drive. Yoga improves circulation in the pelvic area and increases your flexibility, which means better sexual performance. Here are two yoga poses that will help boost your libido:

Adho-mukha-svanasana - The Dog Pose

Practising this asana will help strengthen your hip muscles and stimulate your entire body, especially the back. A strong back will ensure better stamina.

Steps:

  • Start off on your hands and knees. Your palms should be under your shoulders and the knees on the floor with your legs slightly apart.

  • Exhale and gently lift your hips upwards (elbows and knees straight) forming an inverted ‘V’.

  • Breathe out and ease back into the original pose. Repeat 5-10 times.

Marjaryasana/Bitilasana or The Cat/Cow Pose:

When you control your tailbone while changing poses during this asana – a combination of two poses, it strengthens the muscles that contract during an orgasm, giving you better and controlled orgasms.

Steps:

  • Start off on all fours - keeping your hands and wrists under your shoulder and your knees under your hips. Place your knees and shins hip-width apart.

  • Begin with the cow pose by inhaling as you lower your stomach. Lift your chin and chest upwards and look at the ceiling.

  • Stretch your shoulder blades and bring them away from your ears.

  • Move to the Cat pose by exhaling while drawing your stomach to your spine. Make an arch with your back (like a cat stretching its back).

  • Let your head naturally fall towards the ground. Repeat going back and forth between the poses 5-15 times.

These asanas can help boost your libido and have a more satisfying sexual experience. However, if you need treatment related to a sexual health problem, talk to a Jiva doctor today. Click on ‘Speak to a doctor’ on the CONNECT tab or dial 0129-4040404 today.
