3 Yoga Asanas for a Toned & Shapely Chest

Chest fat can be hard to get rid of. Luckily, there are some yoga poses that are excellent at reducing chest fat while also shaping the torso and making it more muscular. Combining these with other full body asanas will tone up your whole body in no time.

Tadasana (Palm Tree Pose)

This asana helps is great for women since it helps tighten the skin around the breasts.

  • Start by standing straight with your feet pressed together and your hands against your sides.

  • Press your palms together and extend your arms above your head.

  • Stretch your body towards the sky and hold for 6-10 breaths.

  • Repeat 4-8 times.

Vrikshasana (Tree Pose)

If you are looking to make your chest smaller, this asana is perfect for you.

  • Start by standing straight with your feet pressed together and hold your hands in front of your chest in a Namaskar Mudra.

  • Raise your right leg and press it against your left thigh. Hold the pose for as long as you can.

  • Repeat on alternate sides 4-6 times.

Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Bend)

This asana stretches your chest and opens it up, reducing tension.

  • Start sitting down with your legs extended in front of you.

  • Grip your toes with your hands, keeping your knees straight

  • Inhaling, move your right arms down while moving the left downwards. Alternate on the other side.

  • Do this exercise for 1-2 minutes.
