Most of the things that happen in life are not in our control. All that we can control is our reaction to situations. Everyone faces tough times in life, but that shouldn’t pull us down. We must fight tough situation and come out as winners and improve ourselves in the process.

Here are some ayurvedic stress-management tips that will help you cope with tough times.

Don’t be alone:

Loneliness aggravates anxiety. Cherish the company of the ones you love. Spend time with your friends and family and take a step to revive the relationships you’ve made around you. Give more to yourself in terms of time, energy, and attention.

Eat right:

Ayurveda strongly believes that you are what you eat. Therefore, eat food that relaxes you and helps fight those stress-generating free radicals. Fresh and seasonal fruits, leafy vegetables, and lightly-cooked food and whole grains could be very helpful to repair your tired body and mind.

Stay Hydrated:

Drink at least eight glasses of water every day. Also, include hot beverage like soup and Ayurvedic tea in your routine. Try to avoid caffeine-rich beverages like coffee or soft drinks.

Take control of your temper:

Whenever you are overpowered by strong emotions, take a deep breath and calm yourself down. This will bring down your heart-rate, blood-pressure, and muscle tension, sending positive signals to your body and mind. When you take deep breaths, inhale in such a way that you can feel the air go right to your abdomen. Maintain a comfortable pace and a steady rhythm. Do this for at least for 5 minutes or until you feel relaxed.

Exercise:
