Spirituality
Ayurvedic and yogic discipline are essential practices in the journey to self-evolution. In this journey, you move from Tamas (darkness, negativity, and addiction) to Sattva (positivity, clarity, and purity).
Benefits of Cultivating Sattva
With the help of Sattva, Ayurveda corrects the disharmony in the body caused by Rajasic and Tamasic doshas. A realignment of the environment leads to a spiritual awakening. It brings you peace and sustainability. And one way to imbibe sattva within yourself is to learn the art of meditation
Meditation
Meditation or Dhyana is a practice of concentration that brings clarity into everything. Here’s how you can add meditation to your daily ritual
-
Begin your meditation with a prayer to invite the Divine and assist you in your practice.
-
Sit still with straight back and crossed legs over the knees.
-
Relax and Inhale sharply through the nose, with 1 short and 1 long breath.
-
Tense the whole body until it vibrates with energy.
-
Hold your breath and the tension for ten seconds.
-
Exhale forcibly through the mouth, with one short and one long breath.
-
And as you do so, throw the stress out of the body
-
Repeat at least twenty-one times
By following Ayurvedic principles, along with the practice of meditation, you can not only control diseases but also embark on a rewarding and fulfilling spiritual journey.
