Garbh Sanskar is a list of Ayurvedic guidelines for would-be parents. It can be traced back to ancient Holy texts like the Vedas. It’s highly talked about in traditional ayurvedic medicine as a prenatal guide for pregnant women.
Abhimanyu, the son of Arjuna, learned how to enter the Chakravyuha when he was in his mother's womb. He later used the strategy to successfully break through the Kaurava’s chakravyuha in the battle.
Prahlad’s mother listened to the brave stories about Lord Vishnu while he was in her womb. As a result, the kid became a true devotee of Lord Vishnu despite being born into a rakshasa family. He stood by good and renounced all evil, leading to the downfall of his demon father's empire.
Garbh sanskar is an opportunity to impart happy and positive thoughts along with spiritual beliefs in the baby right from the time of conception. It directs towards raising the sattva guna in the mother and her baby.
Therefore to have emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually sound child, Ayurveda recommends the following to expecting mothers:
Listen to soft music
Think positive thoughts
Eat a healthy diet
Practice yoga
Meditate and pray
Read Indian scriptures
Talk to the child in the womb
