The most common methods to deal with body odour is using deodorants and antiperspirants. But chemicals hide the cause of body odour and intensify the problem. Chemicals can also lead to side effects. Try these natural home remedies to avoid the problem of smelly armpits and smell good, naturally.
Neem:Bathe with Neem leaves boiled in water. Neem has antibacterial properties that fight odour producing bacteria on the skin and reduce body odour. You can also apply Neem oil before going to bed at night and bathe with Neem soap the next day.
Sandalwood:Sandalwood oil mixed in equal amounts of water acts as a natural deodorizer. Sandalwood can also be applied as a paste on the body, 20 minutes before bath.
Jasmine:Use the petals of jasmine to prepare your bathing water. Jasmine is also available in the market as essential oil which can be used to anoint the body after bath.
Lemon Peel:The peel of lemon contains natural oils which fights body odour. Take a handful of freh lemon peel and boil in water until the water reduces to half. Use this solution in your bathing water to smell fresh all day long.
Rose Water:Use a few drops of rose water in your bathing water to smell good. Rose also has a cooling property which will lower body temperature and reduce sweating.
In addition to these remedies, a diet consisting of whole grains, leafy vegetables, soy products, sprouts, raw nuts, and healthy oils can help cope with keeping body odour at bay. Aromatic herbs like sage, thyme, and oregano are also helpful.
