The appearance of black pores on the skin, also known as blackheads indicate clogged pores and improper cleansing of the skin. Kapha imbalance causes this skin disorder. When aggravated, Kapha dosha results in excess oil production. Excess oil, combined with dust, clogs the pores resulting in blackheads.
An aggravated kapha is the main cause of blackheads. So, to remedy them, you should adopt a kapha pacifying diet.
Avoid oily foods.
Include honey in your diet by adding it to your teas, etc.
Reduce all nuts as they are naturally oily in nature.
Include grains in your diet, especially barley and millet. Avoid eating large quantities of rice or wheat.
Avoid tomatoes, cucumbers and sweet potatoes.
Reduce your salt intake as the salty taste aggravates kapha.
Eat light fruits like apples and pears. Avoid oranges, bananas and pineapples.
Apply tomato paste on the affected areas overnight and wash it off in the morning.
Lemon juice is also effective. Apply this and wash it off after 10 minutes.
Mash raw potatoes and apply it as a face mask. Keep it on for 10-15 minutes and then wash off. This heals the skin and gets rid of the blackheads over time.
