Date Milk, Apple Juice, and Fennel water are effective in relieving constipation.
Due to a weak digestive system, it’s normal for your baby to get constipated, especially once you start feeding them solid foods. But being constipated causes them pain and discomfort, and while giving them medicines is effective, the harsh chemicals in them do more harm than good. Try these mild home remedies as they are effective and also do not have any side effects.
Date Milk
Effective for children above 1 year of age, all you have to do is add 2-3 seedless dates to a glass of milk and boil it for a few minutes. Serve it to the baby at room temperature no more than once or twice a week.
Fennel Water
Appropriate for children above 6 months, simply add 1 tsp fennel seeds to a cup of water and allow it to boil for 3-4 minutes. Next, cool the water down to room temperature and give a couple spoonfuls to your baby 3-4 times a day.
Apple Juice
If your baby is above 6 months of age, you can give them ½ cup of homemade apple juice a day.
Papaya
For kids above 6 months, papaya is an excellent natural laxative. Give it to your baby in little pieces or mash it into a pulp.
