How Jiva Ayurveda treated Mr Lal
According to Ayurveda, kidney stones occur when the Medovaha srotas (fat tissue channels), Mutravaha srotas (urine channels) and Raktavaha srotas (blood channels) become affected due to vitiated doshas. The root-cause behind Mr Lal’s kidney was Asatmya ahar-vihar (wrong diet and lifestyle) as well as overthinking and stress.
How the personalized Ayurvedic medicines worked on Mr Lal
Based on the diagnosis, Jiva doctor planned a detailed and personalized treatment routine which included a combination of kwath, vati and churna.
1. Kwath:
Kwath is what you may commonly know as syrup. The kwath prescribed to Mr Lal was meant to do the following Vata-kapha Shaman (pacify vata and kapha dosha), Sshroto Shodhan (purify the body channels), Rasayan (rejuvenate function of kidney) & Pachan (strengthen digestion).
2. Vati:
In Ayurveda, tablets are known as Vati. These also have similar properties like Kwath. The tablets that were proscribed had the effect of Anuloman (cleansing of the gut), Tridosha shaman (pacifying all three doshas), Balya (increase physical strength), Medhya Rasayan (increase function of brain).
3. Churna:
Churna is powdered medicine that your doctor will advise you to take with water, milk or honey as necessary. The special combination in this case had the following action: Shroto Shodhan (purification of the body channels), Pachan (strengthen digestion), Anuloman (cleansing of the gut) & Deepan (reigniting Agni).
This combination is not the same for all kidney stone patients. Depending upon the status of your kidney stone, your consulting doctor may choose one or all three types of formulations for best results.
