An earache can be extremely painful and pose a constant disturbance in your life. According to Ayurveda, earaches can be caused due to disturbances in each of the doshas (vata, pitta and kapha) and hence, each ear infection has to be dealt with differently depending on the symptoms.
An unbalanced vata causes dryness in the ear canal. This leads to your ear wax becoming dry and hard to clean, causing pain and discomfort.
Kapha’s oiliness makes the ear canal fill up with pus when it gets aggravated. This tends to happen in the winter season as cold aggravates kapha.
The fiery pitta causes heat to get accumulated in the ear which leads to blisters and painful pimples.
Heat some mustard oil and add a clove of garlic (lehsun). Put a few drops of in each ear.
Put a few drops of basil juice (tulsi jal) in each ear.
