With the onset of summers, we are constantly troubled by the problem of itchy prickly heats. Prickly heats are caused when the sweat glands orifices are blocked by dirt and sweat takes the form of small bumps on the surface of the skin. This is a common problem and sooner or later you will be reaching out for some talcum powder. Before you do that, here are some things worth knowing about prickly heats and how you can get relief with simple home remedies.
Prickly heats cause itching along with a stinging and burning sensation. Occurrences are more common in children because their sweat glands are not fully formed and sweat accumulates easily underneath the skin and leads to formation of red, itchy bumps. Prickly heats primarily appear on the back, neck, face, forearms, chest and thighs.
This happens when humidity in air rises during summers. Prickly heat is not a dangerous disease but it definitely creates an uncomfortable condition for the sufferer.
Avoid being outdoors under the sun
Avoid wearing synthetic clothes in summer
