It’s important to have foods that are an excellent source of nourishment for the body and make you feel snug, warm, and cozy. This healthy and delicious recipe of Pumpkin Oatmeal is easily digestible and brings relief from common winter complaints.
Soak 1 cup of pumpkin (kaddu) cubes and 2 tbsp. of raisins (kishmish) in water and bring to boil.
Cook on low heat for ten minutes. Then add 300ml of soy milk and bring it to boil.
Add 80 grams of oatmeal flakes, 2 cinnamon sticks (dalchini), ¼ tsp of cardamom powder (elaichi), 1/8 tsp of cloves (laung) and 2½ tbsp honey.
Cook for another 10 min on low heat until the pumpkin is soft and the oatmeal is cooked
Garnish with pumpkin seeds and serve it hot
Good oatmeal can be a yummy and filling dessert substitute. And when spiced with pumpkin, it is a total revelation. The sweet, smoky flavor of cooked pumpkin, the tender and plump oatmeal and the wholesome goodness of it all. Mouthwatering, isn't it?
