Quick Tips to Survive Stress at the Workplace

Meditate:

Take time out to practice at least 10 min of meditation daily. Meditating with soothing music helps you snap out of stressful situations allowing your mind to be calm and helps calm your mind, reduces stress and helps freshen you up.

Pack healthy snacks and a nourishing lunch:

Too lazy to prepare lunch? But are constant headaches, sudden weight gain and hunger pangs really worth the quick junk food lunch? Take time out for a proper homemade meal because having healthy food keeps you full for a longer time, improves your mood and reduces stress.

Take a break every 90 minutes:

Instead of being glued to your screen for long hours, take a 10 min break after every 90 min. Be it a short walk, listening to music or just relaxing, taking a break helps you concentrate better and makes you work more efficiently.

Move about as much as you can:

As you may have noticed, after a good workout session, you feel relaxed and fresh. This is because exercising relaxes our mind and muscles and is good for our agni. So skip the lift in your building and opt for stairs. You can also get up and stretch after every hour or so.

Plan your day in advance:

When you have your entire day planned ahead, you are more organized and you do your work more efficiently. So, at the end of every day, plan your schedule. This way, you won’t forget to do anything important, you will prioritize things properly, and minimise work-related stress.
