People who have lot of bitterness and conflict in their lives tend to eat a lot of sweets, ice creams and snacks.
Apart from diet and lifestyle factors, our emotions play a vital role in the prevention and management of diabetes. Negative emotions such as fear, anger, hatred, worry and stress can have a detrimental effect on your health. A mind filled with despair, hopelessness and bitterness also affects the body, making it a breeding ground for diseases such as diabetes.
People who have lot of bitterness and conflict in their lives tend to eat a lot of sweets, ice creams and snacks. As a result, they put on weight, mess up their digestive system and end up with diabetes. It is depressing when we don't get what we expect – love, money and recognition – but eating sweets makes you more depressed, heavy and lethargic. When you are depressed, heavy and lethargic, you don't exercise or stay away from physical activity and that compounds the problem. Eventually, without your knowledge one fine day you end up suffering from diabetes. This is the leading cause of diabetes being so widespread in the world today.
“In the old days, people didn't expect so much from life, there were less pain, bitterness and conflict,” says Dr. Granny. People led simple lives and had simple aspirations. Diabetes was almost unheard off in the general population and it only affected the affluent. Today, apart from changing one's attitude towards life, individuals should make serious attempts to change their diet and lifestyle to manage or prevent diabetes.
