What is Involved in a Takradhara Session?

Before starting the procedure, the patient is asked to lie down in the supine position with the head slightly bent backwards in the droni (trough). The dhara pot is suspended in the dhara stand, which is placed at the head end of the droni.

The medicated mixture, Takra, is poured over the forehead in a controlled, continuous stream through a hole of the dhara pot.
