  1. Keep your body weight under check

Research has shown that people who are obese, or have more body weight than is ideal, are more prone to producing a high amount of uric acid in the body. Being overweight is also connected with many health problems such as heart diseases, high cholesterol levels, as well as high blood pressure. In people of young age, being overweight has a direct correlation with more painful gout flares. Therefore, you can help yourself by reducing your body weight.
