The Beginning
The embryo is formed, and the fertilisation and implantation of the zygote occur in the womb sac. The baby’s brain, heart, and spinal cord begin to form, and the baby is just 1/25th of an inch long.
Eat Healthy
Ayurveda recommends nutritious food like vegetables (spinach, potatoes), fruits (apple, grapes), dry fruits, lentils and sprouts from the very first month to ensure the healthy development of the baby. Expecting mothers are advised to drink cold milk every day. You can flavour the milk with almonds, cardamom, or dried ginger to make it more appetising, and to bring relief from morning sickness.
Massage Away
Massage also helps you remain relaxed and stress-free. You can get herbal oil massages to soothe your body and mind. However, don’t use unguents as they liquefy the doshas. Also, don’t give yourself a vigorous massage. Use long, gentle strokes to rub the oil into the body.
Yoga asana
During pregnancy, you should practice with an experienced Yoga instructor to ensure there are no mishaps.
Baddha Konasana
This asana stimulates your heart and improves blood circulation. It helps relieve fatigue and anxiety.
Virabhadrasana
Strengthen your shoulders and lungs with this asana. It also builds your stamina and stretches your hip and groins.
